The growing rate of COVID-19 in Nigeria and the world at large has called for various organisations to spring up into action as world leaders are still in search for the best approach in combating the deadly disease.
In view of this, today Friday the 26th of june 2020 the African Achievers Award led by her Nigerian Representative Amb.Phil Roberts paid a courtesy visit with his team to the African Union Economic social and Cultural council to show support and also acknowledge the good works they have being doing in fighting the COVID-19.
Speaking with news men Amb.Phil Roberts mentioned that the CEO of the African Achievers Award Dr.Tonye Rex Idaminabo has commended the AU ECOSOCC COVID-19 response team (ECOSOCC COVID-19 RT) for standing up for Africa in a time like this to help fight this dreaded pandemic.
In a statement by Dr. Tunji Asaolu, the 1st-Nigerian Representative of the Permanent General Assembly of AU-ECOSOCC, he said the Au ECOSOCC is delighted that The African Achievers Award has recognised their efforts in the fight to save Africa from the novel virus as this has encouraged them to do more.
At the end of the visit a well designed Face mask was presented to the AU ECOSOCC Nigeria received by Dr. Tunji Asaolu for The AU-ECOSOCC as this has kick started a new relationship with the both organisations.
