Talkabuja launches Road Traffic Complaints Assembly on Wednesdays live on liberty radio 2pm-3pm every week
As part of the Talk Abuja Initiative objectives which is quality in media advocacy that are focused on strategic areas of safety of lives and human development.
To this effect Talk Abuja is dedicating one hour radio program aimed at discussing perceived road traffic conflicts between road users and road traffic managers in Abuja/Nigeria. This program is designed to create the much need feed back mechanism towards strengthening the capacity of road traffic agencies and officers in effective road traffic administration in Nigeria. The Talk Abuja Initiative is partnering with the VIOs Consultancy Unit towards ensuring that the program achieves its objectives.
The Road Traffic Complaints Assembly will bridge the gap between the road users and the Road traffic agencies and officers in Nigeria where we have observed that government road traffic enforcement officers, motorists and other class of road users are always conflicting over road traffic enforcement issues and it is observed that some officers have experienced some level of underserved injuries as a result. The program will equally afford distressed motorists to come forward and express their experiences where there should be mutual understanding between the government agencies and motorists/road users.
Now The big question is:
-Who do you run to or complain to when your plate number is removed from your car over a traffic violation?
What do you do when an officer takes your license and walks away playing God over your life at that time?
-What do you do when your vehicle is impounded by road traffic officers with out any formal explanation?
-How do you handle taxi drivers who refuse to register under NURTW?.
- Who do you report to when assaulted by Agberos?
-As a registered taxi operator what do you do when the Agberos force you to pay them before you load your car as this is also a major fundamental that has lead to increase in transportation.
THE SOLUTION PROVIDERS ARE HERE! THE ROAD TRAFFIC COMPLAINTS ASSEMBLY IS WHERE YOU GET THESE ANSWERS
