The Corona virus code name Covid19 is described by the world health organisation as a novel virus as the world is still seeking solutions to this pandemic.
Coincidentally this special Friday – The GOOD FRIDAY falls into the Lockdown period as instructed by the Federal government of Nigeria.
Now, Residents of the Federal capital Territory have being locked in their various houses for days and many of them are out of their daily supplies.
As it was said in the bible days; seeing these things! The senior pastor of Touch for recovery outreach international decided to put up a COVID-19 outreach programme to bring succour to the good people of the FCT as he partners with his foundation to make the GOOD FRIDAY a unique one for Christians despite the Corona virus Pandemic which has brought a total lockdown in the city.
Speaking with Talk Abuja, Dr Yusuf JS said Jesus Christ died for the redemption of mankind and reconciliation of humanity with his Father. So as we mark the death on the cross in this perilous time he asked that God should kindly look upon us with mercy and heal the land. He also said that Love is universal that is why his foundation has decided to to share this food items to the good people of Abuja in a time like this to celebrate this unique Easter.
Dr Yusuf JS advised that we should all join hands together to spread all the precautionary measures to avoid the spread of this deadly Corona virus by washing our hands under running water with soap, keeping social distances, using our face mask, gloves and hand sanitizers as he ended up by saying Christians should not fear about the COVID-19 but obey the rule of law as this too shall pass away.
He therefore called on all well meaning Nigerians to join him in this GREAT humanitarian project as he has developed a blue print for his Foundation on how to support the government as we seek solutions to enhance our economy after this pandemic
